The Working People’s Day of Action is about demanding an end to the rigged economy and defending our freedoms. On February 24, we will stand up for the freedom of working people to come together and fight for decent and equitable pay for our work, affordable health care, quality schools, vibrant communities and a secure future for all of us.

Take Action

We need to ramp up the pressure!

We are fighting to #SavePublicServices. Thousands of AFSCME members have taken action by calling or writing their senators to tell them not to make drastic cuts to public services to pay for billionaire tax cuts.

But as Congress continues to debate these cuts, we need to keep up the pressure! Because this is about so much more than protecting the services our communities depend on.

It’s about fighting for the 15 million people — working families, children, seniors and vulnerable Americans — who will lose their health care if Congress slashes the budget. It’s about protecting Medicare, food assistance, and the programs many of us depend on to survive.

Join us by emailing your senators and making your voice heard. It's easy and takes just a few minutes using the tool here. After you enter your information, the form will identify your senators, provide a draft email (which you are free to use, edit or replace), and send it.

It only takes a few minutes. Together, our voices can't be ignored.
