In today’s election, the hardworking men and women represented by AFSCME in the City of Daytona Beach voted more than 98% in favor of reforming their union, AFSCME Local 2066.

AFSCME Florida Administrator James Spears, Jr. released the following statement:

“No amount of legislative tricks, traps or misdirection that will stop public service workers with Daytona Beach from continuing to serve their community. And that can best do that with a strong union voice, one that they were not going to let be taken from them. The process was slow but their dedication to their coworkers and their careers never wavered and that is seen in today’s victory.”
