Tentative Agreement Highlights:

Compensation

  • October 1, 2023 pay increase already approved
  • Stand By pay of time and a half (1 1⁄2) with a minimum of two hours pay Special
  • Overtime pay of time and a half or $30 per hour, whichever is greater Revised termination leave payouts

Security

  • New No Discrimination/Sexual Harassment Language
  • Rights Strengthened in revised union recognition language
  • Protection extended by probationary time shortened from one (1) year to six (6) months

Fairness

  • Defined time for disciplinary investigations
  • Verbal reprimands valid one (1) year instead of three (3) years
  • Other discipline valid two (2) years instead of three (3) years. Defined grievance filing processes (Union and PERC)

Benefits

  • Increased PTO accrual from 16 hours to 18 hours per month
  • Added Juneteenth as a holiday
