AFSCME Florida Statement on Recertification Win for City of Naples

Following two days of voting, the dedicated public service workers for the City of Naples voted more than 99% to recertify their independent and strong union voice through AFSCME Local 2017. 

AFSCME Florida Administrator James Spears, Jr. released the following statement: 

“When working families and union members stand up and speak out, we win. It’s true across the county and right here in Naples with another win in a process meant to stifle the voice of these workers. We never give up on our communities and we will not give up on our voice at the table.”
