AFSCME Florida Statement on Recertification Win for City of North Port

After a day of voting, the hardworking men and women of AFSCME Local 3432 in the City of North Port voted 99% in favor of retaining their union.  

AFSCME Florida Administrator James Spears, Jr. released the following statement: 

“No matter how many times the state forces workers to vote, they will always return a pro-AFSCME result. These resources could be better spent in a million ways. Workers want a voice in the services they deliver and the future of their jobs, and elections like this prove that is not up for debate.”
