AFSCME Local 1363 Statement on Jackson Health System Recertification

Today, members of AFSCME Local 1363 voted overwhelmingly for their union through AFSCME with 99% in favor of recertification. 

William Orange, a nutrition worker and president of Local 1363, released the following statement: 

“My coworkers have been focused on fighting, and winning, at the bargaining table. We have been growing in every department and at every worksite. And we have kept our focus on the patients we serve and speaking up for what they need. This has all been possible because of our AFSCME union. Today, we made clear, again, that we are going to continue having that protected voice on the job.”
