A Thank You from President Vicki Hall
Brothers and Sisters of AFSCME,
I am honored to have received your trust and support in selecting me as your AFSCME International Vice-President. As we endure these trying unpredictable times, we must press forward as a strong and united Union despite the many obstacles in our path. Having just lost my husband of 20 years during this challenging time, I know a thing or two about perseverance. Even as Ralph Sr. battled his illness, he always encouraged me to press on and to continue the fight. I am eternally grateful for all of your prayers and acts of kindness during this difficult time. Thank you so much.
Now it is time to get to work. We can and must succeed in defending public service workers and their families during these twin pandemics of COVID 19 and the naked truth of institutionalized racism coming to the surface in America. This is a historic moment in our nation and we will rise to the occasion as a united and strong Union.
I look forward to serving you and helping to guide this Union on both the State and International levels. As always, I am available for each and every one of you to reach out to assist in my capacity as President of AFSCME Florida Council 79 and AFSCME International Vice-President.
In Solidarity,
Vicki Hall,
International Vice-President and
Florida Council 79 President
